Okay, now I’m well and truly lost. Why oh, why do people have that crazy urge to think that to find yourself, lose yourself. And now, I really have to find my way back into familiar territory. That’s where I was building my world. I suppose I needed to stand in a place where I could look at where I had come from to appreciate it. Sound familiar? But right, now, I need a shower and find some civilization. The bugs are eating me alive!
I Ran Far Away

Dream Castle
I did the unthinkable. I ran away from everything. Things got so tiresome. The same old, same old every single day. It felt like I was building everything around me but me. Who am I? I thought I knew. But I had to search hard, long and deep. I had to get away from the familiar. I needed contrast. I fit so well around my world I was a fixture – a piece of furniture. I want to grow beyond me and my world. I developed this incredible urge to run away…far, far away.
So, once upon a time, this fairy princess got completely lost. And well, I realized I was really the evil stepmother to myself within a very short time. I got into this really wild camping place they call it. Trees, sticks and what sounded like wild animals were all around. But how am I ever to pitch any kind of tent? There isn’t any bare ground. Anyway, I really just wanted to sulk within myself. I had enough food and drink. I chomped and I drank and then finished up dinner too. That’s the upset me misbehaving.
Then all of a sudden, Mother Nature started calling with a vengeance. I got out of the car to investigate. The bugs were now starting to move about in the slight warmth of the sun. And they bite. Now, they, the grounds keepers said there was a portable potty somewhere. If only I can see where I was going! And those bugs.
Going Home To My Castle
I had written copious notes on why I had to run away and was rethinking about my life. I had simply not noticed that I was simply complaining about what wasn’t even there. This is amazing, but I happened to listen on the radio about the story of a super successful person who actually went round the world just to return home to become even more recharged and successful. This is a lesson I will not soon forget. “…you don’t appreciate what you have until you lose it.”
“Aaaaarrr….!” Right. I’ve just broken the peace and scared just about everyone out of their stupor. The bugs have also suddenly decided to leave me alone. I’m outa there. Of course, at the very first sign of civilization, I stopped to answer Nature’s call. Yes, folks, I was looking for relief of a different sort. I ran away because I couldn’t see where I was going from up close. I had to go so far away from what I am familiar with just to see how far I had come. I had come so far, I was in the middle of my desires, my unstoppable dream but I couldn’t see it. Yes, the forest was big but I was blind to it for the trees.
This castle I had built was once just in the clouds. It was just an incomprehensible dream. Then when I got it, I frightened myself. It is bigger than I had thought it could be. Then when from afar, it was just another castle someone had built. It looked so manageable from a different vantage. In fact, I am making it bigger and perhaps build another one too. So here I am going back home to my castle, once from the clouds. My fairy tale is starting all over again.
