This amazing universe is able to store the energies of past actions and thoughts as we can experience them again often described as Karma. I don’t consider the phenomenon of Karmic effects for past errors as a form of punishment for incorrectly handled events on the part of a person. Is this a moral crime that so called holy ones claim they are?
Once I feared they might be but then as time and experience wears on, it’s what is described in the law of attraction by Abraham Hicks that becomes apparent. In time, those strong feelings can manifest again. But for me, that’s not punishment but the opportunity to correct past errors so that I can move on. I have the opportunity to grow beyond this experience that is Karma.
Karma As Punishment

Karma Is Not Carved In Stone
I once was taught by someone whom many now consider to be a false Yogi. And some of you might have guessed how he instilled fear into all his students with the reactions of Karmic interference in our daily lives. We can never progress to better, happier things unless we allow him to clear our Akashic Records. He has that unique power to purify our deeds…he claimed (sic). These are supposed to be the actions that we have done which were erroneous and therefore, the universal energies will deliver them to us again. We are thereby punished by heaven.
This Karmic ideology does tell what appears to be the frightening truth that what we all think about repeatedly, especially events that hold very strong meaning will likely occur again. It may also occur in a way which affects solely our feelings but the event does not repeat itself exactly. That is why it all seems like a punishment for a sin. Something about the law of attraction seems to creep in right about now. It’s more to do with cause and effect.
It’s not so much about what I was thinking about, but because I am constantly thinking about it. And that tends to occur when the events held a very strong meaning.
Treat Repeated Events As Opportunities To Correct Them
It might be in contrast to Buddhist or Hindu teachings in some manner but if you delve deeper, they too offer their version of salvation in that to think the right thoughts and have the most honourable lives we may reap the rewards heaven bestows.
First of all, I don’t think any god is so cruel as to want to punish anyone. It really is more to do with giving us a double edged sword. Since we get what we want, good or bad, we get them. So, as there is a meaning for Karma and punishment, there is also a meaning for heavenly rewards and gifts. Therefore, when repeated events occur, use that opportunity to grow in experience and correct it in a way that you would want to actually occur again because of the rewards.
Correcting Karma
We should all make use of any opportunity to correct any Karma using the law of attraction principles to create what we prefer to have for the future. After all, if Karma represents what we don’t want, then focus on what we want to happen instead. In fact, this is Karma visiting us again, but in a way we love and prefer.
In my youth, trying to control my life, I would hang on to any opportunity to showcase what I was capable of. But as we’ve all experienced how that can back fire badly. I was expressly unhappy when another person simply decided to copy my efforts and take over what I saw as my duties to heal a very ill person. That was many years ago and I thought I had let go of that situation.
But I shocked myself the other day when a very similar situation occurred but I was not the person doing the healing. Someone else was. But I still felt that powerful pang of apprehension and sudden anger. In fact, I wanted to jump right in to tell that so and so to stop using such useless methods! But then a certain calm awareness came about me. I simply smiled at the healer and the patient. Even though I knew what they were doing was not working in the health department, it’s their relationship was what needed repairs.
In fact I smiled at them both and wished them both wellness and success. In fact I saw myself in the light of letting go of my ego. I felt the freedom that dropping the responsibility that was never mine for so many years. My burdens and any guilt or anger I harboured melted away. I realised that they will both have to grow the way they wish and it is their responsibility for their future. I will not judge if they are right or wrong. I can only offer them my vibrations and blessings. I can offer guidance but never force.
But I do give the patient, the healer, the event that brought me here and the universe for this opportunity to correct my Karma. The law of attraction is a powerful way to correct past errors. It allows me to move forward with personal growth.
