This story about the luck of the lucky orange tree has been told many times. But better and more fantastic yet, the events seem to have repeated themselves numerous times in history. I have heard it related by several people and have experienced the good luck from what I am about to relate to you a couple of times myself. Yes, it’s amazing what the expectation of great things can do. Luck happens. I did not originate this story but simply passing on the experiences of people who have actually made this work for them. They happen to be very wealthy people and one or two are remembered like legends.

What Is Luck?

If you have pictures of sitting back and believing all great things you desire comes to you, you may be right. But the problem arises of when that may materialize. Can you wait that long? Will you starve by then? Have you become a sadhu living in the mountains? No, for most of us that will not happen. That’s because we all have needs, wants and something called living a life. Eventually, we must go do something and get off our butts. Even the mountain hermit has to eventually.

There is that innocent expectation a child has that things will always work out as promised. In this case probably an adult the child trusts like a doting grandparent. And sometimes things do take awhile to materialize and the child requires constant reinforcement that the idea will come to be. So it is with us adults. But who we choose to listen to with all the faith of truth and trust is the one who we have chosen as mentor. And with constant thoughts of diligence to that work, our promised dreams materialises. Most people will say that is so unexpected that the rewards are so huge and magnificent. Aren’t you lucky! It’s only that you were expecting to receive these things that you hold your tongue.

Why Is The Lucky Orange Tree Lucky?

Since time immemorial, the orange tree has been known to the Chinese to bear edible and sweet fruits that are excellent for the general health. But used in larger quantities, the fruits are useful for a variety of ailments. The whole fruit is used. In fact pure organic oranges are valued today for their ability to ward off and actually fight a variety of modern known diseases including colds, skin ailments and even cancers. And oh yes, such valuable fruits also became highly prized and sometimes the whole live plant is worth its weight in gold. The European merchants of the nineteenth and early twentieth century knew this, hence the billions of orange trees in many parts of the world today. This is one lucky golden fruit.

It is thus an auspicious fruit and plant to have as a gift or to give. It is especially auspicious to give a pair of orange trees in pots to newlyweds and to people you revere with a pair of orange trees during big festivals. That’s why during the Chinese New Year, millions of these trees are offered as gifts or simply purchased by the home owner and displayed beside their front door.

The Symbolic Practice That Makes The Lucky Orange Tree

Generally, the orange tree is already considered a lucky tree. The fruit it bears is also already a symbol of luck and health. But I love this practice which gives it such significance. Remember what I said about it bringing luck as practiced by the very wealthy people I knew? Well, do it right and see for yourself only if you so wish for such luck. Doubters need never try…it won’t work for you.

Remember that it is a gift to receive and also to give. It is these two acts combined that creates such a powerful continuity of luck for the gift giver and recipient. This is how the energy is allowed to flow and grow to generate more luck energy. Let me explain further.

First, you must think very carefully about who you want to benefit from this luck creating activity. You see, the person or people you want to benefit must also feel likewise for you. Now, as you begin your thoughts, also write down on a sheet of paper what the benefits that you would love for that person to have. The reason is because if you would like that person to have these things, you must love to have them too. These desires must be pure and unselfish in motive. You are being the most generous person in the world but your source of such gifts is from the inexhaustible vaults of heaven.

Second, you must plan the gift giving many months in advance. Choose an auspicious event or time to deliver the gifts of ripe fruiting orange trees. All this time, it is crucial that you maintain your list of benefits in a safe place and committed to your memory with pure love and desire. Find the merchant who would prepare and sell you these orange trees. Get two for each of your intended recipients and two for yourself. Have them placed or planted in as beautiful a container as you can afford. It serves to make everything beautiful. Beauty is good energy.

Thirdly, you present them preferably with a red packet with some cash inside (need not be too much) for added luck. You can also attach a card to wish them well for whatever occasion. Always pray your wishes of the benefits to them like a blessing just before you give your friends or dear ones the gift. Again, do so with all the very best intentions without anything held back. Remember, heaven (or the universe) is giving them and you the gifts.

Finally, you wait in expectation. You know luck is coming. The more people you have benefitted this way, the more such luck will come. Often of course, you or your recipients may have something that you may have to take action upon like a business opportunity or perhaps even an investment. Lottery luck has also been known (winning ticket shown to me).

There are many other practices that are considered extremely lucky but somehow, this lucky orange tree is one of those you observe to work most often. Feng Shui or Vastu has a number other secrets or practices that may also be beneficial to your beliefs of luck. Some have claimed that this is the law of attraction at work. But the strange and powerful thing is that when something is done with reverence, with ceremony, with celebration, with something that has structure, which much of the world already recognises has good luck, with all the blessings and good vibrations that one can muster through thoughts and action, then is it any wonder that luck comes to you? Good luck!
