As I observe a neighbour accomplishing her daily rituals, I begin to wonder about how I ritualize my days. In fact, realising that my whole day is comprised of rituals in one way or another, they have become my cultivated activities. These are not just habits but they are constantly being developed to improve my lifestyle to the way I love it to be. In fact, while dealing with my business, I have ritualized my activities to such an extent that people working with me know what to do as I do them. In short, these rituals are a developed part of my success.

Ritualize For Efficiency

Rituals get it done better and more efficiently.

In many ways, rituals are habits but with a developed sense of activity for a certain purpose in mind. As for me, these rituals become the way I do the necessary repeatable activities that can be done more efficiently. For example, there is a time in the morning as I do my exercises, my breakfast and everything else us humans do to prepare for the day.

There is always a set time for me to get my office messages and a time schedule for meetings and a time table for the must do things. Then there is a time for the creative things and events. These all goes right through the entire day. I do them with a certain method that is familiar to my friends because I do them again and again without even thinking about it. Anyone who works with me within a very short time thinks I have prioritised my activities to the tee. Compared to the time before I made these rituals, I get at least ten times more done. Well developed rituals are simply amazing.

Ritualize To Accomplish More

As you can see, we can also call this priority management. I’m focusing on doing things efficiently. I am not even focusing on the time it takes. Yes, I allocate a set amount of time to the things I do, but I am also allocating ample time to accomplish anything. If it requires a month, I’ll schedule it for a month. If it requires an hour a day, I do so. But the idea is to focus on accomplishing the things I must do to keep my activities properly done and well accomplished.

Again, the question of habit comes up. You see, before anything starts as a habit, one must deliberately put into place the steps that must be done with reminders. Then when the activities become automatic like tying flipping your hair back into place, it has become a habit. But habits tend to remain in one place. You do one thing without thinking very efficiently, but it does not really improve from there. The rituals on the other hand is a practical activity that allows one to work more efficiently but can be altered as required to suit the activity or situation. And because you are improving these activities over time, you can accomplish far more.

Ritualize To Build Dreams

I love this part of the ritual. Because I get so good at it, I can actually expand my dreams and reach goal after goal almost at will. You see, success in smaller chores build confidence and belief that the larger ones are easy to come by too. One builds dreams one step at a time but with these rituals being developed what is being done multiplies many fold. How you ask?

Well, rituals are also heuristics which mean they are very much developed activities with the bugs ironed out. You can hire the next person to take care of things which you had been and this allows you do even more or create new things to ritualize. Think about that. This is a self perpetuating process manufactured out of nothing it seems! And next time you should be talking more about the manifestations through the law of attraction. These rituals help you build and do more of what you want. You ask, universe answers and you allow and get. Long live the rituals.
