Knowing to trust in tomorrow means to live an abundant life. And I was amazed these words came from a gentle elderly lady of very slight frame. But then she should know. She lived to a ripe old age just a few months short of a hundred years. Her life story was something she decided to dictate despite starting out her early years under terrible circumstances. So thus she passed on her truth and wisdom to her congregation of one.

Darjeeling - A Town Where I Dreamt Of A Better Tommorow
Fearful Times
These are fearful times. When uncertainty of any kind rules our lives, we lose hope and faith goes down the toilet. It is this fear that turns our knees to jelly, minds into confusion and words into gibberish. Do we even know what we want? Fear of the future itself makes us do things that are in contrast to our dreams for tomorrow. So, what happens? We act against ever achieving those dreams to focus upon and create our nightmares. In fact, we live life the way we do not want in the worst possible way!
The elderly lady lived in times when she was sold as a slave girl to a far away country many thousands of miles away from her birth place. She lived in fear and sometimes illness which took away the use of her left hand. She carried with her a hope that became dreams of a family. Her prayers to the universal powers gave her confidence. It took many years, but her faith though severely tested still remained. But those times prepared her for what was to come.
The world was at war again the second time under truly barbaric conditions. She kept up her dreams of peace and safety of her family. She trusted in the heavenly and universal forces for a better tomorrow. This family survived relatively well until liberation several years later but it was too late for more than a million people whose lives were cruelly ended within that small country.
Delayed Gratification
Delayed gratification must be done in the knowledge that tomorrow is a better time, but do so expectantly. Do the work and whatever it takes now in the trust that tomorrow brings much better times as we dream them to being. Today we give gratitude for what must come tomorrow. Just like a young and innocent child, you tell that child that things will come the way it is desired and the child wide eyed and wondrous believes. The faith of the child is unshakable because tomorrow must come with the wish.
For delayed gratification, your absolute trust in tomorrow must take place. Do so like an innocent and worry free child. Behave like the untrusting adult most of us have become because of the lack of mentorship and we must fail. But there are ways in which we can get to our dreams and beyond.
Be deliberate in our daily thinking to think of wanting our dreams. This is not ego, but salvation. Be purposeful when we speak to talk only about what is to come as it is already present. Seek out the books that teach you the same. Listen to audios if you can. Find people who have been successful with what you want. They will be present when you have the open desire.
Be the student and all the teachers you could ever want will appear because with an attitude of learning more knowledge will come. But always remember to use those teachings and practice them. You see, ‘To know and not do is not to know’…Leo Escalia. Do it. Trust in tomorrow that your dreams will come by practicing what you learn today in delayed gratification.
