Nature has always captivated me. The wonders of nature can be almost intoxicating and invigorating at the same time. My mind and body always rejuvenates when I am one with Nature. Experience the power of Niagara Falls in the Maid of the Mist. Appreciate the good torrential monsoon rains as they pour their moisture over the mountains. Be stunned as a lightning storm sends its plasma charged blinding flashes across the night sky. This is the feeling of emotional freedom.
Nature Calms the Mind
Sometimes, when you feel like everything is caving in on you, try taking a short walk to clear your mind. The mind behaves like an uncontrollable child at times. Being undisciplined and having let the mind roam freely all its life, we have lost the discipline over it.
Look into the distance. Look at things far away and appreciate them. Enjoy the sky. Love the power of the sun. In fact, avoid all those sunscreens that spoil your enjoyment of nature by putting a chemical barrier. Use a hat or long sleeves instead. If it’s cold, put on a jacket. Feel the power of goodness as it permeates your very skin right through your body.
There’s a strong truth and beauty of the power of nature. After all, the very rich go for walks these days. In the past, remember the daily horse rides they would go for? Communing with nature gives us balance from our minds right into our cells and our very souls. I find after such a simple walk, I return ready to take on the world. I feel that good. My emotions become strong and in control.
Get Our Mental Perspective Back
To get our perspective back in life, we need to check our minds. This is a busy creature, ever busier than the computer. One the things I find very effective is by having a talk with myself out where Mother Nature is my companion, with no telephone, no music or headset to interfere. I avoid all distractions.
Keeping a check on the mind is a healthy thing. We get so carried with too many activities in our lives and at the same time our mind has simply kept us occupied and exhausted.
Just keep breathing in the air deeply, being aware of the walk and the rejuvenating energies of nature immediately makes you feel so much better. The talk inside the head becomes more positive. Even the negative stuff starts to become changed into a solution.
Nature Rejuvenates Mental and Physical Health
Nature not only helps clear our thinking process, but this activity is also rejuvenates health. This is true fact. The sun on bare skin develops vitamin D3. Doctors say the body responds to nature by improved blood pressure and even better bodily functions. And the mind gains far greater awareness. Our health is restored and rejuvenated when we allow not only our body to rest, but discipline our mind to rest by quieting it into positivity.
Be observant of your thoughts. Be consciously determined to always think of things you like. Think well of people around you. Think of happy times. When you are watchful of your mind, there is a less opportunity for the mind to roam from one negative event after another. It soon becomes a habit that only becomes great good thoughts sub-consciously. That is when you realize thinking good healthy thoughts come automatically to you. Life is all the better then for you.
