A happy life really depends on your state of mind. How you view and think about your life will make you appreciate or curse it. A happy life is often made out to be more difficult than it really is. Your mission in life does not have to be as mellow-dramatic as some people make it out to be. Happiness can always be yours.

Turn despair into self appreciation

Do you notice some people take on heroic roles to help others or help a cause?  Do you also notice that there are others who will settle for lesser achievements or contributions for the same mission? What drives them is often the need to be recognized.

Do not despair if you are unhappy about yourself or what you undertake.  Let me ease your dismay. I’ll tell you now, be proud that you are already playing out your life mission by being present and participating in your own life and that of others every single day in your daily activities.

Living in regret is one of the worst things you can do to block your dreams and be happy about your life.

You see, you can look back at your life and be happy about it or despair that you have not achieved your bliss. It’s a simple choice you make. Be appreciative of yourself and your life and simply move on to bigger, better things that you wish for.

Overcome physical and mental challenges

I often wonder who is more crippled: the one with real physical impairment but lives with a smile all the time or the one who is physically fit but is always complaining of failure.

Some of you may have challenges getting up in the morning due to physical limitations, emotionally challenged, and filled with fear as to how face the world.

Some of you might have reached the lowest point in life and feel so hopeless and helpless whether it is a financial issue, a bad relationship, health issues or the loss of a job or someone near and dear to you.

Living powerfully does not mean you have to be a missionary and travel to another parts of the world to rescue villagers, help others with the education or financial aids.

Being happy is really living in your state of mind. If you believe you are living in despair, then you will remain there. When you decide to live in joy, you will follow your bliss and become truly happy. Remember the great leaders of our times who rose from obscurity or humble beginnings like Mao, Ghandi or Mandela.

We all have our calling in life

You may very well have a need to belong and be somewhere else other than be at home, or do something different from everyone else like saving an endangered animal in some far off land.

But then, your bliss might be always being there for your grandchildren, or maybe grandparents. It is still a fulfilment of your individual direction.

We can and are always helping each other at all levels of our life. As long as you remain in this world, you are contributing to its growth. We might be exercising that at our work place, home and demonstrate acts of kindness towards strangers.

Doing such deeds can go unnoticed and yet we continue because that’s what made us special, we are compassionate human beings after all.

Our compassionate attribute has allowed us to evolve and head towards enlightenment. No act is too small or insignificant.  Every single act leads to another. Appreciate each event and know you are achieving your joy. You will be reaching where you want to be.

Permit yourself to feel good and be happy

So give yourself permission to feel good in whatever you do. Good feelings produce positive vibrations to attract whatever you so desire. It may be wealth, health, relationship or simply being happy and joyful that you desire.

Until next time, keep feeling joyful and happy.  You can be joyful and happy no matter what state you are in.  Joy and happiness do not discriminate.  It is free and in great abundance. You only need to allow yourself to accept it. You have everything to live in happiness for.
