Stress, the cause of most health issues of our lives can be beaten. We search for all manner of ways to beat stress. We pay psychologists. We take long trips. We eat more candy and junk food and get fat. We often forget to laugh but remember all our foibles and worry instead.
Severe Stress Kills

Laughter Beats Stress Everytime
Yes, we’ve heard it all before. Stress kills. Heart attacks are often blamed on stress. Stress is often blamed for depression, aches, pain and basically all manner of what ails us. Think up an illness and ancient wisdom will offer you a cure for stress. Modern medicine – all forms of healing modalities recognise stress as the main cause of disease. Even our immunities to the vile little bugs are often completely diminished.
Stress builds upon stress and creates situations that convert events into more stress. People start to fight and families beat each other up. The streets become a hotbed for battles. And talking about battles, stress can build to explosive proportions and wars can break out between groups of people or even nations. But we are all familiar with car accidents, all because of certain stress related problems like anger and road rage.
Are there more stressors? Of course! And that includes the killjoys that abound in our lives. It all sounds so complicated. Is there even a cure that won’t destroy our bank accounts or end in death and sorrow?
Cure Stress With Laughter
Are there cures for all these things that stress us out? Absolutely! There so many ways to help you get over your emotional bumps of life. But unfortunately, not everything works for everyone 100% of the time. That sounds daunting, complicating, disempowering and expensive again. But you see, if you think or feel this way, then you are the main cause of why stress is getting to you. You have come to expect it in everything you do. So, what then is the best thing you can do to beat that stress?
Recall that wonderful old cliché that goes, “Laugh and the whole world laughs with you.” It’s simplicity itself. Laughter is the bane of all stress. You can’t laugh and be stressed out at the same time. You can’t feel elated and sorrowful at the same time. Some people actually ask me to prove it to them.
Listen up. It’s impossible to prove anything to anyone who does not want to experience an alien feeling or emotion. However, I can only ask that the individual concerned remember something of their past experienced or shared with others. It might even be on television or with friends, family or at work. Have you experienced bereavements where tears flowed freely? Later or perhaps a few days after that the very same people were out celebrating their new found joys or friends they have made? How about bringing a dour faced friend to a comedy show and she laughed till you brought her home?
“Laugh with your enemy and you’ve made a friend.” Laughter is really the best medicine for stress. You don’t need to take a prescription for this. No one needs to tell you that you must laugh to feel better and even cure stressed out behaviour. It’s your responsibility and right to lighten up and have some fun in life. Hey, if I had my way, I’d have fun and enjoy everything I do. That includes work, business, school, driving, sleeping, travel, and all manner of enjoyment like I’m running on the beaches of the world every single day.
