There are as many methods as there are gurus who teach the correct way to use mantras. But the truth is, after the costs and time with numerous gurus, mantra use comes down to a couple of key concepts. But above all, keep your mantras simple. There is total beauty in simplicity.

Why Use a Mantra?

Mantra Patterns

Throughout history mantras have been equated with prayers. Which means the one who recites mantras must give reverence to a god. That is what the general population has been led to believe. In ancient times, according to a mentor, mantras were developed as a meditative method of attuning one with the soul; the universal energies. The universal energies are asked to guide, to provide and to deliver the necessities of life. The kings or chiefs expect total wealth and more, the peasants expect much less. So say the shamans.

This is no different than tuning your mind into an alpha and theta resonance to meditate upon what you desire. The mantras are worded so that you focus upon what you desire. But then the insidious ones form words so that you, the recite focus on the benefits to the writers. Religions and cults have been formed this way. Notice, they get what they, as ‘leaders’ in that society demand?

Religions tell you to be giving and keep none for yourself otherwise you’ll be too burdened to go to heaven. If you’re too distracted by earthly desires you’ll never get there either. Therefore, give away your wealth and there is no holier place than this temple. We keep it all on your behalf.

Folks, having society put all your money in one place is called a bank. Once you understand this, you realize that you can use mantras for yourself first. When was the last time when you gave all your possessions away in the name of religion brought you, your loved ones, or your friends a great lifestyle? If you’ve ever wondered, the very wealthy understand this and that is what they do. They do also use mantras as a way of reinforcing their minds and daily thoughts to building their own desires.

Mantras Are Useful As Positive Reinforcements

Remember the flip side of being positive? “I got so much to do, is the room too cold or hot. Did I take out the garbage? Oh, I want something sweet to eat, it’s rainy and it’s dark, as I do the dishes somehow my heart is pounding, is everything going to be alright?” such a negatively chattering mind.

While those thoughts were going on, I kept searching for those, “Peaceful feelings, oneness, elation, joy, the ever presence”, instead I could feel my body being heavy with confused thoughts coming and going.

Instead, this is the time to tune inwards and use positive reinforcements. There are many ways to get into positive thinking and feeling happier. Some people use self affirmations. Others may decide to go for walks or sing. Even watching a funny show pays off. Talk to a great friend. However, sometimes a powerful session in meditation with a well developed mantra works like magic to get you into your often desired blissful state for creation.

Get Ready For Your Mantra

Get yourself into readiness for your mantra. Begin by sitting straight up but comfortably. Cross legged if you can or simply sitting somewhere isolated and peaceful. You can play a short soft musical piece if you require it that will bring your mind into alpha (and the more advanced practitioners will bring their brain waves into theta or even earth resonance). You know that you are in a powerful meditative state. You’re now ready (and the music should be stopped) to recite the mantra you have developed.

Here is a Mantra I Recite

“I am everywhere, I am everything you conceive me to be, I am the peace you seek, I am the love you crave, I am the caress you fondle, I am voice you speak, I am words you write, I am within you and without, I am what you want to be, joy, happiness, laughter, fun, or wisdom, knowledge, information, I am your soul with a quite presence, I am your friend, I am the spirit guiding you, I am life, I am rain, I am anything you want to see me in, I am IT, I am always around, I am absolutely fabulous, I am everything you can imagine me to be in, I am ALL, I AM ME.”

Within this mantra, feel your power and know what you want has been created. Be happy.
