As the venerable I-Ching (Yi-Jing) states, “Changes are inevitable”. Typically most people will demonstrate resistance to change which restricts personal growth. Change is a signal that all is not the best in life and personal growth will help you accept a better condition regardless of the situation. Whether we are ready or not changes occur despite our resistance. And believe it or not, the more anyone resists the more difficult and greater the change.

I-Ching - Changes are inevitable

Fear of Change

Fearing change often stems from the worry that change might land us into too unfamiliar and too uncomfortable situations. This is despite already experiencing a current event that you do not like at all.

Witness the effects of fear:
- Demonstrating the Fear of Failure (or Success),
- The tendency to be unfriendly or uncooperative,
- Occasional aggressive behaviour,
- Apparent selfish actions.

Resistance Groups Against: Reverses Personal Growth

So we all get together and join a group against not having or against the thing or issue we despise. The pain of the change causes ever more resistance, so joining the group of like minded people seem like a great idea. But spending so much time and effort on what we fear or against the change simply drives the issue deeper into our experiences. Yet, we resist change more and more. That’s pure lunacy.

Standing back a little, fighting begets more fighting. How does that resolve anything? Those are examples of unwanted experiences that are created by resisting. Then what about achieving a smoother change through personal growth? It is often not on the radar screen until disaster strikes or the resistors become so sick and tired of it, they turn their backs to it and desire of the opposite. Yes, illness often strikes before that happens.

Think of What You Want to Have a Smoother Change

In the absence of fear, we are nicer, friendlier, happier, open hearted and open minded. The sun seems to shine on us all the time. This is also the time good thoughts; thoughts of what we enjoy in life reigns. Financial freedom is often played out in day-dreams. Holidays on warm sunny white beaches come a close second.

Is it so strange then that the successful and wealthy always seem to talk about wealth and what they want? And it is any wonder they have what they talk about most often? It is simple to assume then that the mansion the wealthy kin live in had existed in their thoughts and words too.

When changes are happening and we resist, we create obstacles for ourselves. But it is no wonder that the wealthy people you know often have very limited drastic or negative changes. They often come out even stronger than before. Donald Trump came out of a recent bankruptcy even stronger in every way than before. Why not do what they do and have a better life?

A wise man once declared, “If it hurts, get off it. Stop sitting on that nail!”
