Battles happen mainly because of extremes of opinions crossing each other. Yet the irony is that this is happening on the same piece of real estate. This land is your land; this land is my land, but your mind can’t agree.
In the mind what satisfies is the habits already formed. It is easy to think automatically of what’s there. But you may already realize it hurts you. And creates even more turmoil when you try to change it. For example, your relationships at work is in the armpit of your battles. Everyone seems to be bullying you. In your last effort to stop these battles you find the first piece of advice on the internet. On the quick sales page a ‘ self-growth guru’ tells you to self-affirm your wish to end the battle and then see what happens. He leaves you.
Trying out your new-found ideas, to your utter dismay, now even your own mind is yelling at you. “How can this all work? Stop wasting money on garbage info. Even the boss is suddenly on my case.” But, none of them, none are even real! None of these incidents really happened until you get into a fight with your closest friend and confidant.
In The Mind So It Happens In Life
It dawns quickly to anyone who tries to change their daily battles for peace. More fighting happens. But realizing all that fighting really begins with doubt, guilt, worry, fear or anything else that cause mental turmoil. You start a mental quarrel with your boss and he or she Shocks you with the same out loud. You worry about spilling your coffee with armfulls of files, and you do. Now that you’re scared, you get frights.
But you’ve had enough. You don’t even want to try to have peace. You simply want to have fun for a change. Someone asks you to go for lunch. He’s paying. The conversation was about fun and what you’d love doing. Back at the office the boss asks you to arrange the office barbecue. Can it get any better today?
