A homeless orphan achieves great status. Did this person get there because of destiny or was it through sheer personal effort? Many people upon observing his fantastic rise to prominence will readily believe that a greater power like God has elevated this person beyond mere mortals. They cannot and will not agree he may done so through astounding individual Will and personal effort!
Rarely do people it seems, see his journey, just his results. They often proclaim that he is so lucky. Is this because of that human frailty of the fear or embarrassment that they can’t do what this guy has achieved?
A Higher Power?
Personal Destiny or Destination
I’m not arguing for or against the idea of a destiny or a created destination, especially of something spectacular in human terms. I’m just bringing out the opinions people often make about it and why.
People live in a hierarchical society with one or more persons at the top and everyone else in smaller and smaller ranking below. Those at the bottom of the pile are many and often not taught in the ways of the ruling class. The bottom feeders are just that and appear to remain so by design. Therefore when a singular person is able to rise to the very top echelon of society, it must have been pre-ordained by a higher power.
People think this way simply because they were taught this way. So, it may have been through sheer doggedness that brought him his astounding success, but most people by and large cannot wrap their minds around that fact.
Modern science has discovered the power of human energy and the energetic effects beginning from the human mind is incredibly powerful. So powerful it can affect events. In effect it appears to be godlike. This universe, it is found repeatedly, to magnify the powers of the human thought vibrations. It also appears the upper echelons of human society know this.
Nature’s Way?
As people, we are learning every day that nature has more secrets and knowledge than the combined human minds can even comprehend. Yet, in science and through our practice and experiences, we learn to use what nature offers us. Hey, if that clever young man found the secret of the elites, I say power to him.
In nature, the fittest survive to rule and multiply their DNA. Observe the deer rutting season. It is such an impressive sight to see those magnificent animals battle each other in order to select the most powerful as winner.
The other deer simply follow that leader. The does and the younger and less powerful animals offer that stag the pride of first pick to mate.
Humans have unusual curiosity and intelligence compared to these animals, much like a child. We often follow the leader secretly in order to gain the knowledge of what works. So, why is it so far-fetched that eventually, someone will manage to learn and act on the secrets learnt and become so ultimately successful?
When a great leader comes, I’d want to learn from that person. But in our society it is unfortunate that many people are so conditioned to tear that new successful person apart. In fact, often, the elite few will either want control. Either way, if they are unsuccessful, then this new guy on the block will likely be roundly despised and put down severely.
That happens until that person rises to such prominence that society worships him and proclaims him hero. I still remember my mentors who tell me to read about the greats of human history. There are Confucius, Socrates, Ghandi, Mandela, Martin Luther King, and many more. Remember and be inspired by them.
