Everything begins with a dream, a desire, a need to be fulfilled. But fear gets in the way of achievement. Fear paralyses our dreams and prevents us from taking the right action to manifest dreams into a reality. Your mindset dictates your success or failure.
Fear
Fear is a reaction that only seems to help us by pretending to avoid pain and embarrassment. It gives us all kinds of excuses and blame to avoid crossing the bridge, overcoming the obstacles because there is beauty; there is success on the other side.
No matter how we react the outcome is already set. But reacting with strong emotions will determine our future results. Most things in life have been governed, triggered, carried on unconsciously and consciously because of fear. Fear of losing someone’s approval, love, companionship, friendship, jobs and so on, we compromise ourselves, our dignity, integrity, respect, peace, harmony, love and what we stand for, who we are. This is a greater loss than anything else you might ever have to endure.
Blame
Let me explain. Sometimes, when we try so hard not to react a certain way we fail and blame ourselves. The solution is not in the reaction like what most people and doctors will do in treating only the symptoms. You treat the cause and not the symptoms to properly cure the disease.
I hope that was clear enough. If not, here’s another way of looking at it. Maybe as a child you may have had certain experiences that were developed or instilled into your psyche. So when a similar situation or circumstance occurs you behave that way without giving it a thought. Over time as you grow, you realize certain reactions are damaging to your relationships and health. Typically you try to fix the problems based on your reaction. But the problems remain. The next time a similar set of circumstances arises, an identical problem will surface. It could be an illness or a sudden onset of depression or even anger.
Recognize these behaviours and the sets of circumstances that trigger them, and you will then be able to deal with these old ingrained habitual fears that have grown out of proportion that run and ruin your life.
Change them and replace them with ones that you desire – your dreams that make you happy. Do this and you will achieve the dreams you seek.
