You’re determined to get the kids and family to an enjoyable week long holiday. It’s stress busters time. At this time of the year, school is set to begin in a week or two. Time then to rush off to the wild blue yonder. And yet you will always return year after year to de-stress after that not so enjoyable stress busting time. But why let stress build up at all?

Going out with some friends suddenly became a silly enterprise of laughter. We all suddenly realized our stress from all that worry or work or what have you, was suddenly lifted. What happened? How did we allow ourselves to get so stressed we were ready to snipe at each other just because.

Often, it is overstimulation from a variety of sources common in our daily lives. Thoughts like we must make it one time. That speech needs more development. My project deadline is approaching. The kids got sick. Checking that you’re buying organic produce and not GMOs. Get to the gas station on time to get the best gas price. Noise from everything. Too much caffeine. Oops, one doughnut too many. Stimuli builds up to a fever pitch and we are apt to explode.

Then also beware of forcing yourself to accept that life is great when it’s burning you out. Remember the gurus of our never never land (the dreams we are supposed to reach), who insist we should meditate and listen to some recording to entrench our thoughtsinto unbridles success? Well, you may be driving yourself into the rat race and the daily grind. These are the very issues you had been avoiding but are being driven into.

Favourite Suggested Stress Busters

So what do my friends and I do as stress busters? Here’s a secret that took me such a long time to realize, but it works so sweetly. They are a whole bunch of things. You can do almost anything as long as they put a smile on your face. You can change your mindset.

You can:

1) Go for long walks, looking into the distance.

2) Smile at everything and everyone.

3) Play with a pet or someone elses pet.

4) Sing out loud even if you sound like a car horn.

5) Never consume fructose (like corn products) they make you fat and thus not good.

6) Avoid GMO and their processed garbage.

7) Excercise in short bursts and get enough recovery time.

8) Get some sun without all that chemical soup you slather on as sunblock.

9) Get enough good quality nutrition.

10) Booze? Only when you’re feeling good and enjoying it.

11) Get laughs with friends.

12) Laugh at friends as they laugh at you (practical jokes can be fun).

13) Laugh.

14) Lie down and raise your feet for a few minutes.

15) Go out into the a scenic spot with your lids or spouse or friends and simply do nothing but enjoy.

16) Listen to your favourite songs.

17) Go to enjoyable parties.

18) Have some social fun with your business associates (makes more money).

19) Hug the people you love; even those that make money with you.

20) Play dress up.

21) Go dream building.

22) Listen to your favourite audios or videos that give you a powerful emotional lift.

23) Tell people you love them in so many ways.

24) A romantic time with your best friend (you know who I mean).

25) Then look at yourself in the mirror and smile.

Find more stuff to do that’s just fun. There must be a million ways to enjoy yourself. Stop taking yourself too seriously. In fact, be like a kid again. Grouchiness and grouches will leave you.
