Emotions have amazing power so teaches Abraham Hicks. But to develop Personal Mastery over my Emotions was a result of a long, arduous journey. But it was worth every second and every penny of it.

Life Worth Living

Personal Mastery Over Emotions

My life is really worth living since I have found me. My laughter has returned. I learned to play again. I smile and sing with my heart. Emotional stability gives me such confidence and freedom.

I can absolutely tell you that it feels so incredibly good, so elated to be able to control your emotions. It feels fantastic to have that power to deal with every situation in your life, not if, but when they arise.

Take heart if you’re feeling taken aback right now. All is never lost. I can categorically tell you, that you can stop giving up being the best you can be and start taking all your power back.

Emotions Affect Outcomes

If you’ve developed a much more positive or stable emotional base, then you will find that your thoughts, experiences and more of your emotions have become far happier. These emotions are infectious too. Remember getting the attention of a baby and your positivity simply made the little guy smile, laugh and play with you when no one else could?

If your emotions are more negative, whenever you make a new desire or are looking for something you need, you will find that there will always be a reaction towards negativity. To illustrate; when looking for something, sometimes our emotional state can make us miss it altogether. How often have you been in a hurry or in a huff after an argument and can’t seem to locate your keys? Then after you calm down, you find it in a place you’ve been searching…like your pocket or your handbag.

Emotions Are Habits

We are creatures of habit. We all have our own experiences of memories. You are responsible for your own habits and thus your own emotional power. Remember that being habitual, your mind and body will respond according to what you develop. It is actually as simple as exchanging old damaging habits for new ones that you love.

To change a habit can sometimes be challenging but in most situations, they can be changed as easily as being determined and thinking the right thoughts. You see, emotions are brought on by our thinking, so thinking positively and creatively is definitely a step up to your success and healthy living.

Do this conscientiously at first, minute by minute and then repeat the process whenever you can remember to. Then, like tying your shoe laces, it becomes a sub-conscious habit.

Breaking Tougher Bad Habits

For more difficult issues, breaking the habit can be more of a challenge. But again, they can be changed for the better.

1) You can begin by redirecting your focus consciously whatever you want to achieve in life. Emotions like love, taking action to focus on a project you can develop the emotions to support them.

2) Recognize the emotion; acknowledge its presence, feel or see where it is coming from.

3) Affirm “I don’t like this feeling. I choose to let it go”. “I choose to feel good”.

4)  Focus on things, events and people that make you feel good.  Stay in this feeling and engaging your body, feeling every part of your body, be mindful of your breathing as you are continue in this state for several minutes (longer if you wish).

5) If other thoughts come, allow it without judgment, continue to focus on feeling good.

When You Have Personal Mastery Over Your Emotional Stability

You only need to repeat the exercises over and over again diligently and know that you’ll succeed. Do this until you have achieved your goal. In the future, if something upsets you, go through the entire process again. You’ll be amazed- at first. How good will you feel when people marvel at the confidence you’ve built.

Now, in life, stuff happens. Just in case, do this:
No matter what happens, immediately go right back on the positive affirmation do not waste time in analyzing the emotions or the feelings. Practice this until it is a habit.

Refer to this list below like a mantra, but they’re really words of encouragement.

Know where you are and focus where you want to be.
Know that anything is possible and achievable.
Know what holds you down are beliefs that no longer work for you.
Know your worth is what you want to achieve, accumulate the wealth you want or the company you keep.
Know you are more than the mind and the body.
Knowledge empowers you, open yourself to receiving information. Discover your passion.
Know that you are trust worthy, give yourself recognition.

Refer to the emotional scale and you will immediately understand where you are likely to be in your life or with a specific want.
Note: You always want to have the great habit of feeling better than you are now.
