The power of written words is truly magnificent. I’ve learnt to write memories down and I can refer to them repeatedly over the rest of my life. The teacher bade me take notes so that I can remember the lessons for my tests and exams. I write words because they create a power of continuity in what I am doing. The power of written words connects me to the wisdom of the great minds.

This power of written words post is not about the Magna Carta or the classic tomes of old. It’s about everyone here on earth. You and I. We can jump higher than we think. We can gain more wisdom than we know.

“I wrote as a child, and mature as an adult.”

Power of Written Words

Just being fanciful. I really meant, I mean an old man I knew really meant to say each time you want to develop a fledgling idea, put it on paper. Write out a line about that idea. Then develop that idea into a paragraph. Then write a story about it. Soon, you’ll be researching that idea from every source you can find. You consult books, online depositories and seek out experts. If it gains life, you will seek mentors. This is the development of an idea and giving it a life of its own. It’s a great way to write a business plan or a book.

“I Speak On Paper.”

How many of us remember the days when we were meant to be seen and told to shut up? So, sometimes writing notes on a piece of paper works, until the teacher catches you. But this is a skill that develops one’s ability to communicate with your recipients in written form. Write as though you are speaking to them. Let your voice lead you to put the words on paper. As your mind speaks, write the words. They have feeling. They are emotional. They convey meaning. Never mind the typos or grammar as you write. Come back later to edit the words and sentences as best you can. But always leave the meaning intact. You are communicating to a friend, not speaking to an examiner of the language.

“Build Your Mind.”

Writing with your hand is one of the most powerful ways to build your mind. You could say you are improving your intelligence and memory as you age this way. Wiser teachers will always teach you to use a Blue Ink Pen and Write on White Paper. It appears the reason goes back millennia, and perhaps to the nature of the earth itself. Our brains seem to acknowledge the colour Blue far better than any other even in the dimness of a jungle. Has it something to do with the blue skies?

And the contrast of blue ink on white paper makes a truly lasting image in one’s mind. Add to that, the use of our hands, manipulation of fingers, pen, paper, our seated position, and even the holding of the book or paper itself is truly a feat of discipline. The required hand to eye coordination of writing, the placement of words, the formation of the words and letters all combine to make it one of the most acrobatic behaviours our minds can achieve. When used this way, to remember anything, even a long lecture our memories can be built into the brains neurons into an amazing piece of creation.

“Create With The Power of Writing.”

The coup de gras. And who is to argue with those people who drive Rolls Royces and fly private Challenger jets? Many of them own banks too. They tell (and rarely teach) that they use the power of writing copious notes to amplify the power of the mind to achieve anything they fancy. How can this happen?

Well, their story goes like this. They believe, in fact know that the power of their minds is indeed powerful. Everyone’s mind has the power to send out vibrations that bring what they want and them closer together…vis a vis the Law of Attraction. They can amplify their mind’s power and combine it with extreme focus for their achievement or desire with the use of writing. With practice this simple but powerful technique yields more success than pure physical effort alone can accomplish.

Like I said, I’m not arguing with their success. I’m just repeating their methods, with my personal intent of course, and thoroughly enjoying it. Want to give it a go?
