We’ve met the few people who are memorable because they seem able to hold an unwavering attitude of power. The poise they demonstrate is the way they carry themselves within their psyche and so their entire posture shows how they feel inside. Out of whole crowd of people there appears to be a few who appear to hold themselves a little aloof from everyone else. Are they arrogant or is there something else we don’t really understand.
Poise and attitude begins the thoughts, desires and words to become their future selves.
The amazing thing about many of these people with the poise of success is they are not necessarily born of wealthy families or royalty. Yet we can’t help feeling that they appear to have that “I am better than you” attitude. That is the wrong attitude we carry because doing so simply means we feel small and are acting that small and unsuccessful way.
Curiosity got me asking one of these guys as a child and she answered it’s because she felt always successful in her endeavour to become the CEO of her company. In that she finds her bliss. I do not know which company CEO she referred to but a decade later she did become a CEO of her very own company which became far more successful than the one she was working for at the time I asked my question. Obviously, she was demonstrating that winning attitude .
What Is Poise
Poise is the attitude one feels about the position one represents. Therefore if you’ve defined yourself as someone you wish to be then you are. But then have you defined who you really want to be as that somebody or is it just a wish without any belief or action to achieve it?
You see, when you have the poise of someone who represents that person you want to be you become that in action, in thought and in speech. In effect you are either morphing into that super being you aspire to be or have already become he. When Clark Kent is a reporter, that’s what he becomes in action, speech and even thought as he writes. But Superman is all action, words and thoughts of saving mankind. Even though both are essentially the same being, they are both dynamic opposites. Which one are you?
Define who you are and your poise stands out. Your body, mind and spirit all act as one to become the person you have defined yourself to become. Yes, essentially you have defined your dream; your burning desire. And now, your entire being of what and who you are have become in action.
Attitude Of Power
Poise is power no doubt about it. But why is it that the ones with the attitude of who they have defined themselves explicitly has the power to achieve such a show of apparent greatness? Poise is an outward expression of what has been transformed within. The child who is always playful and silly has that poise. But one day, he catches the dream to become that wealthy banker. Notice how he plays, uses words and even acts like a banker. And in fact given enough desire and with time, he often becomes that banker as he grows into adulthood.
Actually, you can also say that with time that greatness is translated into a much more powerful actuality because it becomes true to the one who carries the attitude into his or her lifestyle. As with children, adults think it is a game and therefore think it’s all baloney. But to children it is all too real. Many times, many children will find themselves actually becoming the play character in their adult lives. Do you remember the ones who want to be doctors, dentists, firemen or lawyers and it has become real?
The law of attraction works perfectly in any given situation. If yours is a disbelief in your own attitude, that’s what you are. If you intend to be a nobody you develop that matching poise. But then the prominent billionaire is also well known to everybody. So choose your life. Who do you want to be. The attitude you carry will become the poise that is you. You can have power of poise for the rest of your life if you so choose and tell the world how successful you intend to be.
