My entrepreneurial passion was stirring up inside. I was at this networking group a couple of days ago. This was déjà vu. Young entrepreneurs appear to becoming the dominant new businesses. It was such a long time ago when I was in a similar networking situation, but this time I was at the other end looking back. I have already answered my calling.
Networking Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurial Passion
Here I was in this location downtown I had never been to before. As the room filled, I had memories of being in this situation before. People from many walks of life are starting anew and were rather shy and uncertain of themselves. A few being more established offered their services without reserve. But then, I really came here to network – to gather research feedback for my future book and get to know what people need and want today.
I had the opportunity to network with a lot of entrepreneurs. It reminded me of myself a decade or more ago when I began my quest as an entrepreneur. Some of the methods these new and young entrepreneurs employed were not too different from those times. Each of them had their own unique character. But overall, I found their general needs were always the same or very similar. But there will always be one or two nuances that are particularly unique to each one.
Most entrepreneurs make the same mistake over and over again as though they all read from the same book. Blame the idiot who taught them this! Here we all were offering and peddling our wares and services to each other. I joined in and let them ‘sell’ themselves to me. How great their stuff and how powerful their methods can make me. Now, why would I buy from someone I don’t even know and trust? They did not even have the courtesy to get to know me and they launched into their tirade…This is something that has not changed in decades.
The Networking Meeting
Preambles and why entrepreneurship is the road to riches was the typical fare. Also quite typical was that everyone had a chance to speak in turn. Most offered their services in their elevator blurb. Their style, their offering and speech structure often betrayed or elevated them.
I decided to try something different. This has the advantage of making me stand out. But quick thinking was required. I described my business briefly and asked for their help and suggestions. True enough, all attention was suddenly given to me. Many offered suggestions but there were actually a couple of gems I could use immediately.
Most often we get into business or profession because of the glamour of making certain amount of money or for the sake of our parents, family and friends. But for most people, they are woefully unprepared. They “try” instead of being serious in what they get into. They have no chief aim. They are there to play. And that is the result they get…games and more games. People string them along and no one trusts them (been there, done that).
Business Success in What We Love
I remember those days of long ago like today. Family and friends (and a church pastor) declared it would be too sinful to go after our dreams. They insisted we go after careers we hate or find little or no pleasure in. After many years of personal development I found myself, my true calling. I go forth and build the business or life I desire and love.
I had the opportunity to offer some young entrepreneurs the virtues of entrepreneurship passion. They must have passion and go into the business that they love. They must build on that as a life. They must stop their false beliefs of trying something and hoping for the best. Passion requires the entrepreneur drive, focus and success in their desired chief aim.
Seldom do business people ask what they want for themselves. “What would give me pleasure, joy and fun?” “What within me wants doing what I love and make a great living out of it?”
Now we discover more and more how important, effective, healthy and rewarding doing the things we love is. The cat is out of the bag. It is no secret. But I can only surmise fear and emulating the wrong ideals and people leads so many astray.
Do You Have The Passion or Calling For Your Enterprise?
How do we find if we are passionate about something? Some, as I do, view this as a calling. It runs deep within my soul. Nothing on this earth can make me deviate from it. That is the power I urged all to understand and make use of. It’s nature. Just allow it.
