I personally love to network with people. All of us, when in contact with one another are constantly in the business and personal development world. Networking is a powerful way to meet people for business or for personal reasons. Networking is probably the best way to expand your contacts these days.
Networking for Business and Personal Development
Whether you are a business entrepreneur or working for someone else you are indeed networking. When you go to supermarket, gas station (avoid the interac machine), coffee shops or shopping in the mall you are networking. You are exchanging information of some sort, you have an eye contact, and at times we shake hands or even smile at each other.
But let me add a little quality to your networking. Make it work. Make it worth the energy of being there and meeting people. Make yourself memorable in their minds by doing something for them. Be a special resource they need or want by pointing a valuable resource to them or have the resource come to them. In short be a valuable friend. And just consider who will then more than likely to get a great referral for business? Yes, YOU!
The beauty of the internet has made it possible for us to network not only within our city, province or state but the whole world. We are that community. We have come closer to meet each other and share our ideas, experiences, knowledge and information. Some of you may remember that we used to write letters with the ink pen, not even the ball pen and the paper used to smell scented with embossed designs when we sent love letters. Then came along typewriters, stencils, etc.
Computers, fax machines, video cam, i-pods, cell phones, etc… and here I am inviting my friends from all corners of the world to join me in this community in Bizmum.com.
